Thursday was my birthday--I chose a nice time of the year to be born (on my grandparents anniversary) but weather wise, it was terrible with about 95 degrees and 100% humidity :P
Undaunted, we set out for some gardens that are located downtown we heard were nice for a little birthday outing. Yeah, it was HOT. But at least I managed to get some photos out of this adventure!

Again, no idea what this thing was. It was some type of desert bush and it was HUGE and awesome looking.
Me and the sis (Kat) jumping. Our faces look ridiculous.
Some sort of desert cactus flower.
Lily of the Valley, my birth-month flower. This was shot holding the camera a foot away from me, since no one was allowed to walk in the beds and there was this gardener dude closely watching us to reinforce it.
Kat. She was really insistent that I get one of her walking away from the camera... it didn't come out half bad.Now back to editing the other 100 photos I took at a friend's house this weekend while traveling (they happened to have a 1970 cream coloured VW Beetle, which was AWESOME for photos) and photos from a walk at the lake (where we crashed a wedding).
